ABOUT CHRIS
Born in Middlesbrough, UK, I grew up in various locations in the UK, Germany and South Africa. I write short stories and children’s stories, sometimes illustrated by Jenny Fionda, my sister. My favourite authors include Graham Greene, Shusaku Endo, Raymond Carver, Kuniko Mukoda, Ha Jin, Eric Carle and John Ryan (of Captain Pugwash fame).
I have been living in Japan since 1994 and currently live near Tokyo with my wife and daughter. When I'm not working and writing, I pen poor haiku in Japanese and play golf badly, but not at the same time!
